The Buckland - Studio Retreat Terms and ConditionsNumber of Guests per StudioStudios One to Four are identical in lay-out and accommodate two people each. No. 5 is about 20 sqm larger than the studios and features a separate king size bedroom, shower and separate bath tub in the bathroom and a full kitchen. It also accommodates two people. ChildrenThe Buckland - Studio Retreat is designed to be a retreat for adults and is unsuitable Deposits & Full PaymentsA deposit of 50% of total booking is to be paid immediately by credit card to secure a booking (specials or last minute bookings may require full payment at time of booking). We accept Visa, MasterCard and Bankcard. If payment by cheque, cash or money order is required please telephone 61-(0)3-5756 2383 or contact us on stay@thebuckland.com.au to make booking. Full payment is due one month prior to arrival date. Cancellation & RefundsThe deposit is refundable, less $50.00 (or 5% of total booking value for bookings exceeding $1000 in value) administration levy, if cancellation occurs more then 1 month prior to arrival date (the deposit may in some circumstances be transferred in full to a later booking date). If cancellation occurs less than one month to arrival date we will endeavor to rebook the accommodation. If the booking can be re-sold to its full original value, full payment/deposit will be refunded less $50.00 (or 5% of total booking value for bookings exceeding $1000 in value) administration levy. If rebooking is unsuccessful (fully or partially) The Buckland – Studio Retreat will retain the deposit only and the balance of payment will be refunded. Transfers can only be made to available times and to the value of the original booking and are at the discretion of the Manager. Any increase in tariffs must be covered by the guests. Special offers or packages may not be transferable to a later booking date, but deposits paid can be used towards a future booking. Minimum Night Bookings2 nights on weekends; single weekend night bookings are only available occasionally and attract a 20% surcharge. Please call 03 5756 2383 or 0419 133 318 to enquiry about availability. 3 nights over Christmas and New Year period - (23rd of December to 1st of January.) 3 nights over Easter Break. 3 nights over Melbourne Cup Weekend.- (The weekend closest to & including the first Tuesday in November). 3 nights over long weekends. Single midweek nights are available year round with the exception of school holiday periods and the Bright Autumn Festival - single midweek nights attract a 10% surcharge. Single weekend nights are some times available on a last minute basis or if a single night becomes available in between other bookings and attract a 10% surcharge. Reservations of particular studios:We endevour to at all times comply with requests/on-line bookings for a particular studio. However, we reserve the right to re-asign bookings to another studio/studios if required by our overall booking situation.
Check In and Check Out TimesCheck in Time is from 3:00pm (15:00 hours) Check out Time is before 11:00am (1100 hours) SmokingThe Buckland - Studio Retreat is a smoke free inside the studios. However, guests can smoke on outside decks where ashtrays are provided under cover. An additional cleaning fee of $100 will be debited to your credit card if evidence of smoking inside is found. PetsUnfortunately The Buckland - Studio Retreat cannot accommodate pets. Mini BarOur studios feature a moderately priced licensed mini bar for your convenience. Any purchases remaining unpaid after your departure will be charged to your credit card. A receipt will be mailed. Noise related to Agricultural ActivitiesThe Buckland – Studio Retreat is a working farm set on 40 acres of pasture, surrounded by other working farms and vineyards. Farming equipment like tractors, mowers, scare guns, harvest machinery etc may at times cause considerable noise, in particular during harvest time (usually from about mid February to early April). Our studios are well insulated and double glazed and most farming activities are limited to day time hours. However, we whish to advise our guests that we don’t have any control over noise generated from farming activities outside our property and are therefore unable to accept responsibility in any form.
