Bright reinvents the definition of a country market.
A small group of enthusiastic volunteers created a market concept around the philosophy of “make it, bake it, grow it” (locally). It’s been going for a while now and every body, locals and visitors alike, seem to love its atmosphere and the wares on offer.
Set at the banks of the picturesque ovens river it is a shopping mecca if you’re into original, handmade, often organic or recycled and always with ethical principals in mind, created art, craft, food, wine & beer. There is a plethora of fresh produce on offer, including freshly baked breads, locally made cheeses, jams and short cuts. And coffee, or course.
Nothing is imported or mass produced.
Some gardening buffs offer their advise and sell indigenous plants, whilst local artists display their craftsmanship and offer their paintings, handmade postcards, hand printed fabrics for inspection and sale.
There are clothes designers and jewelry makers, next to wood artists and the most colorful cup cake stand you’ll ever see.
And, when you need a break from the shopping, sit down, watch the river go by and enjoy the performances of local musicians.
A beautifully relaxing way to spend a Saturday morning!
9 am to 1 pm on the 3rd Saturday each month in Bright,
