Birds observed by Bill Middleton, Ornithologist and Botanist, on the 10th and 11th of October 2006 during 2 walks of one hour each between 9 and 10 a.m. through the peppermint forest adjoining the studios.

The forest is almost pure Eucalyptus radiate
– Narrow-leaf Peppermint.

Bill Middleton again observed the birds nesting at The Buckland and the adjoining bush during another visit in April 2007 and then added the Scarlet Robin to the list of birds spotted.
